James Lyle and Agnes “Aggie” Yeakel

James Lyle and Agnes “Aggie” Yeakel, Noblesville, are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary. Jim and Aggie escaped from the cold Hoosier weather for a holiday spa/resort retreat at Sheraton Marina/Resort Hotel, in San Diego, from Dec. 24 through 28.

Jim and the former Aggie Donovan were married Dec. 26, 1967, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Chenoa, Ill.

Jim is a former Northwestern High School head boys basketball coach and is a claims adjuster for Zurick in Carmel. Aggie has been employed at Kokomo-Center School Corporation for 11 years.

They have four children, Jim Jr. and wife Bridgette, Kokomo; Michael and Niki, Houston, Texas; William and Renae Armstrong, Ill.; and Kelly, Indianapolis. The couple also has 10 grandchildren.
