Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kellar

Robert and Lela Kellar, Kokomo, are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary with a family party this summer.

Robert and the former Lela Allen were married Feb. 11, 1938, at First Baptist Church, Kokomo, by the Rev. Cletus Brown.

Robert is retired from General Motors, and Lela is a homemaker.

The couple has seven children, Virginia and husband Joseph Poland, Johanna, Ohio; Rebecca and husband Rex Higgins, Kokomo; Bobbi and husband Tim Terry, Conway, S.C.; Kathy Oakley, Kokomo; Jeff and wife Linda Kellar, Kokomo; Phyllis and husband Pete Baker, Kokomo; and Richard and wife Sandy Kellar, Valparaiso. The couple also has 18 grandchildren and four stepgrandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 12 stepgreat-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
