Arthur and Opal Hartman, Kokomo, are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary with a family get-together at a later date.

Arthur and the former Opal Byers were married March 21, 1948, at Zion Lutheran Church, by the Rev. Omar Hartman, brother of the groom.

Arthur is a retired farmer, and Opal is a homemaker.

The couple has five children, David Hartman, Kokomo; Linda Alley, Rochester; Joyce Paschka, Fort Wayne; Marge Bunn, Kokomo; and Patti Stout, Kokomo. The couple also has 17 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
