Mr. and Mrs. Doyal McIlrath

Doyal and Evelyn McIlrath, Burlington, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 to 4:30 p.m. April 6, 2008, at the Burlington Community Building, hosted by their children and grandchildren. The couple requests no gifts.

Doyal and the former Evelyn Taylor were married April 4, 1958, at Burlington Methodist Church, by the Rev. Carl E. Gilbreath.

Doyal is a self-employed contractor, and Evelyn is retired from Sears Roebuck, Kokomo.

The couple has three children, Gerald and wife Pat McIlrath, Rossville; Carol and husband Cary Cornett, Monticello; and the late Craig Alan McIlrath. The couple has four grandchildren, Sarah and Laura McIlrath, and Carlie and Carlson Cornett.
