Paul Wayne “Jim” and Pauline Guge, Burlington, will celebrate their 74th wedding anniversary July 1 and plan to spend the day in church and reminiscing.
Paul and the former Pauline Phillips were married July 1, 1939, in Mount Echo Park in Cincinnati on the banks of a river by the Rev. Robert L. Van Zile, of Cincinnati Bible College. The couple met in high school at West Middleton.
Pauline worked at Reliance, Delco and Kresge in Kokomo and Langoff Insurance in Burlington. She is a homemaker. Paul owned Minneapolis Moline Implements in Burlington and Burlington Café. He is retired from Chrysler Corp.
Their children are Janelle and Bob Oakley, Burlington, and Bethan Buckley, Burlington. They have five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
