FIRED UP: Kokomo players Tayler Persons, left, and Hakim Burnett celebrate in the closing seconds of the Class 4A No. 9-ranked Wildkats’ 49-40 victory over Richmond in North Central Conference play Friday night at Memorial Gym. Persons recorded 21 points, 10 rebounds, six steals and three assists to help Kokomo take the win, which gave the Kats the outright NCC title and just the second perfect NCC record in school history.
