The Purdue Extension is looking for youngsters interested in the 4-H program and adult volunteers willing to mentor them.
Youths involved in 4-H develop life skills and learn to be leaders. It is open to all children, not just those who live in the country, and includes such programs as aerospace, computers, electric, genealogy, geology, photography, reading, shooting sports, small engines, sport fishing, wildlife and woodworking.
The programs are run by adult volunteers who are trained to mentor youth.
