Church news

Apostolic Lighthouse Church

The church, 616 Touby Pike, will offer free food to the public at its food pantry from 11 a.m. to noon March 29.

Brookside Free Methodist Church

A chicken and noodle dinner will be served from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the church, 190 E. 400 South. The meal will include chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans, coleslaw or applesauce, bread and butter, dessert and drink.

At the door, tickets are $7.50 for adults, $5.50 for children and free for children 3 and younger. For advance tickets, call the church office at 765-453-0245.

The church has added an earlier morning service to its Sunday schedule. Effective immediately, there will be worship services at 8:15 and 10:45 a.m. and Sunday school at 9:30 a.m.

Christ Lutheran Church

The final concert in the lunchtime Fine Arts Series Music at Christ will be at 12:10 p.m. April 2 at 3401 S. Dixon Road.

The musical group Reeds and Ivory will be featured. Members of the ensemble are Katrina Brown, oboe; Jennifer Kirkman, bassoon; and Barbara Hobbs, piano.

There is no charge for the concert, which will last 20 to 30 minutes. A light lunch will follow (donation suggested).

Crossroads Community Church

The Heaven’s Hands ministry will offer a six-week co-ed support group from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Mondays beginning April 14 at the church. Light snacks are provided at the meetings, and childcare is available.

Faith United Methodist Church

The church will sponsor a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 5 at 1518 N. Faith Road.
