Kokomo-Howard County Public Library offers Paws to Read for struggling and reluctant readers. Volunteers bring certified therapy dogs to the library. A child reads to one of the canines. The dog listens while the child practices reading, providing a positive and non-judgmental environment so the child can improve literacy skills.
The next session of Paws to Read will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Main Branch, 220 N. Union St.
