Special easter egg hunt open to adults

The Kokomo Parks and Recreation Department is selling wristbands for the Adults Only Easter Egg Hunt, scheduled for 8:30 p.m. April 19 in Jackson Morrow Park. The cost is $5.

This hunt is for participants 18 and older. Only participants with Kokomo Parks and Recreation Department-issued wristbands will be allowed in the hunt area. The starting point for the hunt will be the Kirkendall Nature Center, 4200 S. Park Road. Participants are advised to bring a flashlight.

For $5, (cash only), participants may pick up their wristbands at the parks department office in Highland Park from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday through April 17. Wristbands also will be on sale at Jackson Morrow Park from 5 to 8:25 p.m. April 19 or until the wristbands are gone. There is a limited number of wristbands.

All eggs will be candy-filled and some will have a numbered slip of paper inside. Every participant will be guaranteed a prize. You will need to have your number slip and/or your wristband to claim prizes. If age eligibility is questioned, you may be asked to show proof of age with a driver’s license.

Prizes will be checked off as they are claimed so that participants will know if there are any eggs still to be found.

Area businesses contributing to the event include: Windmill Grill, Colescott’s Mobil 1, Culvers, Hoosier AM/FM Radio, Ray’s Drive-In, Handy Hardware, Barker’s B&K, C&S Meat Market, Forest Park Dairy Queen, Omeletty’s, Mancino’s, From the Cup, Pizza Hut, Gingerbread House Bakery, Erik’s Chevrolet, AAA Fence, National Softball Association, Hawg Heaven, Moore’s Pie Shop, Julianno’s, Indiana Pacers, Cheryl’s Therapeutic Massage, Walt Moss Barber Shop, Buffalo Wild Wings, Taku, Charley’s Philly Steaks, Courtyard by Marriott, Chippendale Golf Course, the parks department and many more.
