Special easter egg hunt open to adults

The Kokomo Parks and Recreation Department is selling wristbands for the Adults Only Easter Egg Hunt, scheduled for 8:30 p.m. April 19 in Jackson Morrow Park. The cost is $5.

This hunt is for participants 18 and older. Only participants with Kokomo Parks and Recreation Department-issued wristbands will be allowed in the hunt area. The starting point for the hunt will be the Kirkendall Nature Center, 4200 S. Park Road. Participants are advised to bring a flashlight.

For $5, (cash only), participants may pick up their wristbands at the parks department office in Highland Park from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday through April 17. Wristbands also will be on sale at Jackson Morrow Park from 5 to 8:25 p.m. April 19 or until the wristbands are gone. There is a limited number of wristbands.

All eggs will be candy-filled and some will have a numbered slip of paper inside. Every participant will be guaranteed a prize. You will need to have your number slip and/or your wristband to claim prizes. If age eligibility is questioned, you may be asked to show proof of age with a driver’s license.

Prizes will be checked off as they are claimed so that participants will know if there are any eggs still to be found.
