West Point Christian Church

The church is planning an Easter egg hunt for the community at 10 a.m. April 19 at 5112 N. 1250 East, four miles south of the four-way stop in Russiaville. Free candy will be available for all children.

A sunrise service at 7:30 a.m. April 20 will be followed by a free breakfast. The main Easter service will begin at 10:30 a.m.

Woodland Church of God

Visitors Sunday is planned for 10:30 a.m. Sunday at 3401 S. Webster St., and the church will continue registering visitors for prizes to be given away May 4.

Roger Lush will be the guest speaker for the 10:30 a.m. Sunday healing service at 3401 S. Webster St. His talk will be about the healing touch he received and about the power of the Holy Ghost.

There will be an Easter egg hunt at 4 p.m. April 19 for ages 12 and younger.

An Easter basket giveaway is planned after the 10:30 a.m. service April 20. Pictures will be taken with the Easter bunny. No evening service is planned on Easter.

Pastor Dave Cornelius of Bethel Tabernacle will be the speaker for a revival April 25. There will be Bible reading at 6 p.m., prayer service at 6:30 p.m. and service at 7 p.m.

Charlie Gabbard, former lead singer for the group 29-11, will be the speaker April 26. Bible reading will be at 5 p.m., prayer at 5:30 p.m. and service with a youth emphasis at 6 p.m.

Bishop Woodrow Alley, state evangelist, will be the speaker at 10:30 a.m. April 27.

Galveston United Methodist Church

An Easter egg hunt is planned for 11 a.m. April 20 after the worship service.

Upper Deer Creek Church

The church will sponsor an Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. April 19 at Galveston Elementary School. Registration begins at 9:15 a.m. Toddlers through 12-year-olds are invited to attend.

Walton Christian Church

The SIS Group will sponsor a purse auction fundraiser at 6 p.m. April 21. Proceeds will benefit church and community outreach.

There will be a variety of purse styles and sizes to be auctioned. Those who attend will be admitted if they bring an item for the church’s Care Pantry. Foods needed are peanut butter, jelly, canned fruit, spaghetti sauce, pancake mix, syrup and bottled juice.
