BUNKER HILL —- Maconaquah High School students will stage “The Miracle Worker,” by William Gibson, at 7 p.m. Sept. 27 and 28 at the school. Advance tickets are $5 and tickets at the door are $6.
“The Miracle Worker” is the true story of deaf and blind Helen Keller and her teacher, Annie Sullivan, who taught her how to communicate. The story takes place in 1887 in Alabama.
Kiley Stiers as Annie Sullivan and Christianna Hefner as Helen Keller lead a cast of 25 students, including four middle-schoolers. There are 20 students on the technical staff for the production.
The play is directed by teacher Ann Hileman and will serve as the master’s thesis production for her degree work at the University of Northern Colorado.
