Tipton volksmarch is Saturday

The Goodtime Trailblazers is sponsoring a free walk in Tipton starting between 9:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. and ending no later than 4 p.m. Saturday. The walk will begin and end at the Tipton County Public Library, 127 E. Madison St. and is free and open to all.

The event will be on mostly paved roads and sidewalks and water and restrooms will be available. A volksmarch is literally a “folks walk” or walk for the people, according to a press release. The walk will be noncompetitive and total either 6.2 miles or 3.1 miles.
