Church news

Editor’s note: Due to the volume of announcements this week, Church News will run today instead of Saturday, as it usually does. Bible Baptist Church

An informational meeting is planned for 12:30 p.m. Sunday at Bible Baptist Church, 2635 S. Dixon Road, for those interested in a tour of Israel May 9 through May 20, 2014. Drs. David Hoffidetz and Richard Bloomstock will present the sights and sounds of Israel and will answer questions.

The church is planning trunk or treat from 6 to 7 p.m. Oct. 30.

Brookside Free Methodist Church

There will be a clothing giveaway from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, 190 E. 400 South.

An all-you-care-to-eat fish/tenderloin fry will be 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday. Fish and tenderloin will be provided by Hillsdale United Methodist Church.

Candy, games and snacks are planned for 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 31 during the free trunk or treat.

Calvary Baptist Church

Sally Duke will perform during Old Time Gospel Hour at 4 p.m. Nov. 3 at the church, 1967 W. Boulevard. A freewill offering will be taken.

Cassville United Methodist Church

Bazaar is planned from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 26 at 610 E. Cassville Road. Offered will be candy by the pound, pies, cakes, other baked goods, one-stroke painting, noodles, cheese balls and crafts.

Center Road Church of Christ

The church will host a Branson-style concert by George Dyer at 7 p.m. Oct. 26 at 899 W. 300 South. Tickets are $15 and may be purchased at Joy Christian Bookstore, 1802 E. Vaile Ave.; Priced Rite, 2112 W. Sycamore St.; and Strickler Jewelers, 3210 S. Lafountain St. They also are available by calling 765-455-0938.
