Northwestern High School Theatre will present the timeless American musical “Oklahoma!” May 1 through 3.
Set in a western Indian territory just after the turn of the century, the high-spirited rivalry between the local farmers and cowboys provides the colorful background against which handsome cowboy Curly, played by student Ricky Christensen, and farm girl Laurey, played by Micavrie Yeary, live out their love story.
The musical contains such classic show tunes as “Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin’,” “People Will Say We’re in Love” and the title song, “Oklahoma!”
Shows will start at 7 p.m. May 1, 2 and 3 at the Northwestern Auditorium. Tickets are $8 in advance or $10 at the door. To order tickets online, visit nhs.nwsc.k12.in.us and click on the “NHS Theatre” link on the left.
