Community CPR/AED class will be conducted from 9 a.m. to noon May 3 at the YMCA. The cost is $40 or $50 with a first aid class option from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The same course will be offered again May 15 from 4 to 7 p.m. for CPR only or from 4 to 9 p.m. with first aid.
These courses are appropriate for child care workers, teachers, emergency response teams in business and industry, school bus drivers, parents, babysitters, or anyone desiring this knowledge. Both courses carry a two-year certification. Space is limited. For those with time restraints, ask about our Blended Learning option. A portion of the class is completed online on your time and an in-person skills test is offered at the YMCA to receive certification. American Red Cross Lifeguarding Review Course is for those whose lifeguarding certificate is about to expire or recently expired. The course is offered from 4 to 8:30 p.m. May 9 and from 9 to 5 p.m. May 10. Another review course will be offered the following week, May 16 and 17 with the same times. The cost is $87 for YMCA members or $97 for community participants.
