Alzheimer’s Association Greater Indiana Chapter has announced two programs in the north central Indiana area that will help families and friend understand Alzheimer’s Disease.
The first, “Know the 10 Signs,” is from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Logansport Library 616 E. Broadway. The program has interactive video clips of those living with Alzheimer’s.
The association also is hosting a “Memory Loss, Dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease: The Basics” program from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 12 at Encore Center, 347 Jefferson St. in Tipton.
The Tipton program is designed to provide basic information about memory loss that everyone needs to know. Typical aging versus problematic memory changes, an overview of how Alzheimer’s disease affects the brain, risk factors and information on obtaining a diagnosis will be covered.
There is no fee to attend the programs, but registration is requested by contacting the Alzheimer’s Association at 800-272-3900.
