Greentown Libraries plan renovation

GREENTOWN — The Greentown Libraries will undergo renovation this summer during which they will receive new lighting and HVAC. The work will cause both libraries to relocate at different times during renovation.

The Adult Library building will be closed for the month of June, but it will be opened for service at the Children’s Library. New books and some DVDs will be available at that location. Books requested through Evergreen resources also will be available. Patrons who have mobile devices may also use the overdrive option for downloading e-books and e-audiobooks.

The Children’s Library will close for the month of July, but it will be opened for service at the Adult/Teen Library. Summer Reading events will still take place.

Both libraries will reopen by August. Summer hours for both libraries will be 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday; 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday; and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Users should have their online accounts in order for Evergreen requests.

Check the library Facebook (Greentown and Eastern School Public Library) and web page (www.greentownlib.org) for any changes.
