---- — ELWOOD — An Indiana Department of Transportation resurfacing project will install more than 100 ADA-compliant curb ramps along Indiana 28 through Elwood.
Milling and paving operations on this 3.24-mile section of Indiana 28 are on schedule to begin at the end of the month.
E & B Paving is the state’s contractor for this $947,434 project that begins just east of 700 East in Tipton County and continues to Indiana 37/Harmony Street in Elwood in Madison County. The Anderson contractor will make pavement repairs before milling off 1½ inches of Indiana 28’s existing surface and replacing it with new HMA asphalt.
Traffic delays will be minimal. Flaggers will occasionally stop motorists as concrete trucks are positioned at work sites. Later, when paving operations begin, flaggers will be present to direct single-lane traffic around equipment and crews.
