Danny Maple will discuss the history of the round barn during a meeting of the Gen. James Cox Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, Sept. 10. The group will gather at 6:30 p.m. to tour the Armfield-Moyer round barn on the Howard County 4-H fairgrounds. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m.
Any woman 18 years of age or older, regardless of race, religion or ethnic background, who can prove lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution is eligible for membership.
The DAR will sponsor a free genealogy workshop from 10 a.m. to noon Sept. 28 at the Kokomo-Howard County Public Library, 220 N. Union St. Those who attend may meet one-on-one with a genealogist, who can offer suggestions to help complete a DAR application and other paperwork.
