Children read to dogs at library

Kokomo Tribune

---- — The Kokomo-Howard County Public Library offers a program to help struggling or reluctant readers. Paws to Read will be 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the main branch, 220 N. Union St.

Volunteers bring certified therapy dogs to the library. A child reads to one of the canines, and the dog listens while the child practices reading, providing a positive and non-judgmental environment so the child can improve his or her literacy skills.
