Aglow International Kokomo Community Lighthouse

The group will meet from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Feb. 8 at Stars of Light Church, 809 S. Elizabeth St. A DVD will be shown of Jane Hansen Hoyt, Aglow president and CEO, during the annual conference in Orlando, Fla.

Christ Lutheran Church

The Fine Arts Series Music at Christ is presenting a series of eight Lunchtime Concerts. Due to the winter storm, the fifth concert featuring trumpeters Mark Murray and Michele Robeson Howard has been rescheduled to 12:10 p.m. Wednesday at the church, 3401 S. Dixon Road. There is no charge for the concert, which will last 20 to 30 minutes. A light lunch will follow (donation suggested).

The next concert in the series will be Feb. 5 and will feature Barbara Hobbs in a piano program, to be followed March 5 by a concert by feature harpist Catherine Trout.

Howard-Miami Mennonite Church

The church is planning a chili supper for 5 to 7 p.m. Feb. 8 at 600 North and 700 East. The menu includes mild or spicy chili, veggies and dip, and desserts. A freewill offering will be taken. Proceeds will go to The Cattle Project, an outreach project that provides beef for Kokomo Urban Outreach.

Judson Road Christian Church

The church, 2006 W. Judson Road, will sponsor a chili supper from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Friday to benefit Kokomo Urban Outreach.

The supper is free, but monetary and canned food donations will be accepted for Urban Outreach.

The church will have a breakfast from 7 to 10 a.m. Feb. 8. The cost is $5 for adults, $2 for children 5 through 12 and free for children younger than 5.

Main Street United Methodist Church

The church, 830 S. Main St., is hosting clogging lessons by the Wildcat Valley Cloggers Tuesdays in church basement. Beginning classes are 6:30 p.m. and intermediate and advanced classes are 7:20 p.m. The teacher is Christopher Smith, who has been an instructor for more than 35 years.

Mount Zion Temple

The church, located in Webster Plaza at 4019 S. Webster St., has announced new hours. Wednesday Bible study is at 5 p.m., Saturday Sabbath service is 4:30 p.m. and Sunday worship is at 11:30 a.m. “Faith Without Works” will be the sermon theme this Sunday.

Mount Zion Temple is partnering with Drake’s Family Restaurant and Bluitt and Son Funeral Home to bring “A Moment of Inspiration and Hope” that can be heard on radio station Z92.5.

New Beginnings Christian Fellowship

Pastor Jeff Russell will present a sermon, “Remembering Why You Are Here and Recommit your Life to Christ,” at 10 a.m. Sunday at 1900 S. Berkley Road. It is part of the series “The Call to Remember” and is taken from Ephesians 3:14-21.

Reformation Faith Ministries

The church’s first worship service will be at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at Indiana Wesleyan University, 1916 E. Markland Ave. Sunday school will begin at 9:30 a.m.

Russiaville Friends Church

The church will host a gospel sing at 6 p.m. today at 230 E. Main St., Russiaville. Performing will be Macedonian Call and The Northmen & Cathy. A freewill offering will be taken.

A dinner, including a choice of soups and assorted desserts, is planned from 4:30 to 6 p.m. for a $5 offering.

Salvation Army

The Jubilees will perform a concert at 7 p.m. Feb. 8 at 1101 S. Waugh St. The southern gospel group won the Northern Gospel Singing Convention in Marion in 2000. In February 2002, the group recorded its first album in Nashville on the Cedar Hill label. A freewill offering will be accepted during the concert.

Before that concert, there will be a dinner from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the center. The cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under.

Soul Anchor Apostolic Church

Having trouble signing up for health care reform? Applications for the Affordable Care Act will be available 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 3 to 4 p.m. the first Sunday of each month at the church, 616 N. Union St. All are welcome. Cowboy Church, a gospel music program, will be presented at 6 p.m. Feb. 1 at the church, 1810 E. Bradford, Marion. The service and attire are casual.
