Mission opens warming center

Mission opens warming center

Kokomo Rescue Mission has opened its dining room at 321 W. Mulberry St. to anyone needing shelter from the cold. The warming center is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and serves coffee and hot chocolate. Hats and gloves are available to those who are in need.

Those who use the warming center may bring games, reading material or anything to keep busy while waiting for temperatures to rise. The mission will accept donations of all these items at its main entrance on Mulberry from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. Call 765-456-3838 for more information.
