Bon Air Church
The church, 2419 N. Locke St., will have Upward Basketball and Cheerleading registrations and evaluations from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday; and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 9 in the church gym. The Fine Arts Series Music presents a series of eight Lunchtime Concerts. The second concert features Organist Travis Person at 12:10 p.m. Wednesday at the church, 3401 S. Dixon Road. There is no charge for the concert, which is approximately 20 to 30 minutes in length, and a light lunch follows. Donation are suggested. First Christian Church
The 3rd annual G.I.F.T.S. (Gift Ideas For the Season) will be held at First Christian Church, 854 N. 300 West, Kokomo, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. today. Many local businesses will offer their crafts, art and other merchandise. There will be a bake sale and hourly drawings for door prizes. It is a wonderful opportunity to shop early for holiday gifts and support local businesses.
The church will also host a Chicken and Noodle Dinner from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 10. Proceeds will benefit Lisa Verbosky and help with medical expenses. Lisa is 37 years old and suffered a stroke. The menu includes chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans, cole slaw and dessert and is free will offering.
First Church of God
Upward Basketball and Cheerleading for children age 5 through sixth grade is planned at the church, 5937 S. Park Road. Evaluations and orientation is planned from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, and 10 a.m. to noon Nov. 10. The cost is $60 before Nov. 9 and $65 after. Deadline to register is Nov. 15.

The annual Ladies Aid Breakfast and Bake Sale will be 7 to 10 a.m. Nov. 9 in the church’s fellowship building, 220 W. Main St., Russiaville. The cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children 4 through 12, and free for children 3 and younger.
Main Street United Methodist Church
Smart Choice Food Ministry at Main Street is offering a Thanksgiving food box special. The $30 box includes: 3-pound average boneless turkey breast, 4-pound boneless ham, 20-ounce dry au gratin potatoes (makes 28 servings), 48 Parkerhouse-style rolls (two 25-ounce bags), and two Pumpkin pies.
All food arrives frozen and is enough to feed 12 to 16 people.
Boxes may be purchased by individuals or organizations. Orders must be placed at the church, and paid in full, by Nov. 13. Orders will be ready for pick up Nov. 23 at Main Street.
