Human remains found in container near Indianapolis

BROWNSBURG (AP) — Authorities say human remains have been found in a metal container on a vacant property just west of Indianapolis.

The Hendricks County Sheriff's Department authorities say a man who recently purchased the property was clearing part of it Monday when he found skeletal remains inside the cylinder. The county coroner's office confirms the bones are human.

Authorities have called in forensics experts from the University of Indianapolis to help with the investigation.

The property where the remains were found is near the Marion-Hendricks County line.
