Otwell man's dies in S. Ind. lake

BIRDSEYE (AP) — The Department of Natural Resources reports Indiana conservation officers have recovered the body of a 43-year-old Otwell man from a southern Indiana Lake.

Conservation offices say they pulled the body of Anthony Catt out of Patoka Lake in Orange County, about 70 miles northeast of Evansville, about 9 p.m. Saturday. They say they began searching for him shortly after 3 p.m. Saturday after receiving a report he hit his head while diving from a pontoon boat and hadn’t resurfaced.

Conservation officers say they used an underwater camera to find Catt’s body in 20 feet deep water, about 200 feet from shore.

An autopsy is scheduled for today.
