GRANGER (AP) — The cost of driving on the Indiana Toll Road is going up for motorists not using transponders to pay.

ITR Concession Co. LLC says the cost of traveling the 157-mile length of the Toll Road for two-axle, non-commercial vehicles will increase to $9.70 on July 1, up from $9.40 now. For drivers using the E-ZPass compatible transponder, the cost will remain $4.65.

ITR Concession says the cost is going from 5.9 cents a mile to 6.17 cents a mile.

Rates are locked for drivers with transponders through 2016.
