INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — A car went out of control and crashed through much of an Indianapolis house.
Fire Department Lt. Bonnie Hensley says the driver and passenger in the car were alert when they were taken to a hospital after the crash about 4 a.m. Wednesday on the city's south side. Two adults and two children who were inside the one-story, wood-frame house weren't hurt.
Danielle Freeman says she woke up to the sound of the crash and found the home's living room and dining room destroyed. She says her 6- and 4-year-old daughters slept through the crash with the bedrooms on the other side of the house.
Emergency crews were working to stabilize the house, but Hensley says it is now uninhabitable.
