Affidavit: Westfield double slaying suspect had been fired

Westfield — Court documents say an Indianapolis man charged in connection with the home-invasion killings of a woman and her adult daughter was angry about being fired by the woman's husband.

A probable cause affidavit states 20-year-old Christian Rene Haley was fired by a company owned by Marylyn Erb's husband because of poor attendance.

WISH-TV reports the affidavit also says one of Haley's friends told police Haley wanted to rob his former boss and that he had admitted killing 52-year-old Marylyn Erb and 23-year-old Kelley Erb.

Haley faces murder, robbery, burglary and other charges in the slayings. The women were found fatally beaten Dec. 20 in their home in the north suburban Indianapolis town of Westfield.

Haley is being held at the Hamilton County Jail in Noblesville.
