SEATTLE (AP) — The man accused of driving drunk when his pickup truck hit Dennis and Judith Schulte crossing a Seattle street is scheduled for arraignment this morning in King County Superior Court.
Mark W. Mullan is charged with vehicular homicide, vehicular assault and reckless driving.
Prosecutors say the 50-year-old had a blood alcohol level of .22 percent after the March 25 accident.
The crash killed Dennis and Judith Schulte, retired teachers from Kokomo, who recently moved to Seattle.
Their daughter-in-law, 33-year-old Karina Ulriksen-Schulte and her infant son, Elias, were critically injured and remain in Harborview Medical Center.
Mullan is jailed with bail set at $2.5 million. If convicted he would face 15 to 19 years in prison.
