IPD officer could be jailed in Fort Wayne if bond lost

FORT WAYNE (AP) — A suspended Indianapolis police officer free on bond after a fatal 2010 traffic crash could be jailed in Fort Wayne if prosecutors succeed in getting the bond revoked.

Allen County Sheriff Ken Fries tells WPTA-TV it's possible that David Bisard might be ordered held in the Allen County Jail until his October trial on reckless homicide and other charges in the 2010 Indianapolis crash that killed a motorcyclist.

Marion County prosecutors asked that Bisard's bail in that case be revoked because it was conditional on Bisard not being arrest again. They filed new charges of drunken driving against him Monday for a Saturday crash.

Allen County Judge John Surbeck says he expects to hold a hearing on the bond-revocation request this week.
