Elizabeth Smart to speak to students on Friday

Vincennes —

Former child abduction victim Elizabeth Smart will speak to southwestern Indiana high school seniors Friday.
Smart will present the keynote address to high school seniors attending a College GO! Week event at Vincennes University's Red Skelton Performing Arts Center. She will talk about how it's possible to overcome extreme adversity by not allowing one's past to dictate the future.
Smart has become an advocate for change related to child abduction and recovery programs.
Vincennes University's College GO! Week helps Hoosiers of all ages plan for college completion and career success. The university says seniors from five Vincennes-area high schools will attend Smart's presentation.
