Gentiva Hospice open house is Friday

Gentiva Hospice, a member of the Gentiva Health Services family of nationwide home health and hospice providers, today announced an open house to celebrate the opening of a new office in Kokomo, which will bring a host of nursing and other hospice services to residents of Howard County.

The open house will be from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday at the new office, 2904 S. Reed Road. The community is invited to attend.

“The Gentiva family of companies is known nationwide for its compassion, clinical excellence and uncompromising service, and we are pleased to now bring our quality services to Kokomo and its surrounding areas,” said Executive Director Steve Reese.

With its unique team approach, hospice care can comfort both the patient and the family. “It is difficult when a loved one has been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness,” Reese said. “So our company’s hospice care is centered on the entire family. We focus on helping the individual make the most of each day, while offering the family all the support they need.”

Services include home medical equipment and related medications, pain and symptom management, emotional and spiritual support, and a comprehensive bereavement program. Most services are covered by Medicare, Medicaid, and many private health insurance companies. Gentiva Hospice staff can assist patients, families and physicians in determining eligibility and researching all available resources.

For more information on the open house and hospice care from Gentiva, call 765-864-2358 or visit www.gentiva.com.
