---- — Tipton job fair is Thursday
Chamber member Manpower and the Tipton County Chamber of Commerce are partnering to bring a job fair to Tipton County. Local production jobs must be filled, said Vicki Warner, executive director of the Tipton Chamber.
The job fair will run from 9 a.m. to noon Thursday, at the Tipton County Public Library, 127 E. Madison St., Tipton.
Applicants should bring resume, a picture ID and dress appropriately.
Blume adds a new degree
Mike Stegall, president and CEO of Community First Bank, is pleased to announce Robb Blume, executive vice president and chief credit officer, recently graduated from the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado (GSBC), a 25-month banking school which provides senior management and leadership education for community-banking professionals. Blume was among 164 graduates in the 63rd session hosted on the campus of the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colo.
Blume is a graduate of Butler University and has over 27 years of banking experience. He has been with Community First Bank since the bank’s inception in 2003. Blume has been involved with many community organizations and currently serves on the board of directors for the United Way of Howard County. He is married to Kathi and has three daughters.
St. Joseph Foundation elects new members
The St. Joseph Foundation has announced the election of new board members. Each new board member will serve a three-year term. The new members include: Jill Evers, The UPS Store; Linda Ferries, communications professional; Steve Jackson, Jackson Financial Group; Scott McClelland, attorney at Button, McGarvey, Trauring, Wilson, Oaks & McClelland; Rebekah Monroe-Boley, YMCA; Amy Pate, Realtors Association of Central Indiana; Angela Roegner, Half Moon; Larry Rolland, Community First Bank; and Doug Weigt, Pfizer.
For the upcoming term, Shelly Wyman was elected past chair; Diana TenBrook, chair; Scot Ortman, vice-chair and Dennis Ressler, treasurer.
“We are very appreciative of the many contributions of our outgoing board members and delighted to welcome our newly elected members and officers,” said Todd Moser, director of the St. Joseph Foundation. “The members of the St. Joseph Foundation Board play an important role in assuring quality health care for everyone in Howard County.
