In 2012, Dobbs was nominated by her peers and selected by a committee of local business leaders as a representative member of Indy’s Best and Brightest professionals. This group honors 100 of Central Indiana’s outstanding young professionals, age 40 and under, who are making their mark in and around Indianapolis.
She also serves as a member of the Corporation Board of Directors of the Indiana State Museum and Historic Sites and the Planned Giving Subcommittee of Alpha Chi Omega Foundation, as well as the Northern Indiana Community Foundation and the Miami County Museum.
SBDC hosting small business seminar
The Hoosier Heartland Small Business Development Center is conducting a seminar Sept. 18 in Kokomo, for anyone interested in starting their own small business. This seminar is designed for people who have an idea and are interested in starting a new business and for people who are “young” in their business. A feasibility workbook will be provided. The seminar cost is $25, and the session will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Inventrek Technology Park, 700 E. Firmin St. Anyone with questions please call the center at 765-454-7922.
