Summers Plumbing Heating & Cooling honored as a company to watch

Summers Plumbing Heating & Cooling Inc. has been recognized as one of 33 Indiana Companies to Watch, an awards program presented by the Indiana Economic Development Corporation, its Small Business Development Center and the Edward Lowe Foundation.

Companies to Watch is an awards program that celebrates Indiana’s privately-held second-stage companies, those businesses that are past the startup phase, are considered to be established, and face issues of growth, not survival.

Companies honored range in industries and have headquarters based in 14 counties throughout the state.

Summers Plumbing Heating & Cooling, with 11 different locations throughout Indiana and one location in Dayton Ohio, focuses on residential service and replacement for plumbing, heating, and air conditioning. Summers Plumbing Heating & Cooling started in Hamilton County when Steve Line purchased the business in 2008 with just four employees. Summers projects 95 employees in 2013.

“We really focus on hiring the right employees with good backgrounds and that understand the vision. We also know how valuable our employees are so we give back to the employees as much as possible to show our appreciation including a workout gym, full basketball court, Colts tailgate party, and even free baby sitting so our employees can enjoy a date night,” Line said. “Our business model has proven success and is easily duplicated. In the coming years, I believe you’ll see Summers in every local community in Indiana and then other states.”
