Well, you heard about my wife and I, and our families from the past, so it is time for me to tell you about two of the prettiest girls I have ever known. They are our daughters Debbie and Patty.
They are the greatest gifts from God that we have had in our married life. When Debbie was born, she was a chubby little baby who seemed from day one to have a mind of her own, as it seemed like she always knew when I was home or asleep and she was always wanting to be fed or changed.
Ramona was just as proud as any mother could be because she never let the baby out of her sight. It seemed like she was holding the baby when I left for work and when I got home. It was a wonderful time knowing that God trusted us with a baby who soon would grow up into someone we are very proud of.
Two years later, God gave us another gift and that was Patty. Oh, was she a chubby one. As she grew up, she had curly hair that Shirley Temple would of liked to have had. As both girls went through their school years, they were honor students, both were inducted in the DAR, and both graduated from Haworth High School, Debbie in 1976 and Patty in 1978. Patty, after having two children, decided to be a school bus driver. One day after learning that she was going to be a bus driver, I told her that she was not strong enough to do that job and she let me know that she was a “Day” and she could do anything. Debbie went on to be in different grocery store positions and now she is a old timer at Whites. She lives at home now to help me take care of her mother.
