Tri-Central collects 45 coats in annual drive

SHARPSVILLE – Tri-Central Community School Corp.’s seventh annual coat drive provided new coats, hats and pairs of gloves for 45 children.

The coat drive was held Nov. 6 at Tri-Central Elementary School to benefit any student from preschool through 12th grade who needed a coat this winter.

“Thanks to $500 from our Tipton Community Foundation, and other donors, we will be able to ensure that the children of Tri-Central stay warm this winter,” said Shawna Parish, who organized the event with the help of Joella Grant and other volunteers.

TCF manages dozens of scholarship and other targeted funds, promotes the United Community Fund to sustain a network of social service agencies, coordinates Ducky Day in Tipton Park and encourages higher education, volunteer involvement and a host of other community benefits, including its conference center. For more information on the foundation, visit www.tiptoncf.org or call 765-675-1941.
