Acacia Academy has end-of-year celebration

— Acacia Academy recently hosted an end-of-school celebration to commemorate the school’s very first year of cultivating character, faith, and knowledge.

The celebration had a racing theme of “Great Adventures at Every Turn,” and included a cookout, student presentations, an awards ceremony and games. During the award ceremony, every student received a T-shirt for being a first-year student at Acacia and a medallion for completing a full marathon during the school year. Perfect attendance awards were also granted to 20 percent of the students.

Madison Briscoe of Kokomo and Brooke Compton of Speedway, both serving as 2010 500 Festival Princesses, were special guests at this event. The princesses were an active part of the Acacia Academy awards ceremony and also offered the students a rare opportunity to sit in the 2010 Indy 500 Pace car.

This celebration was a grand finale to an amazing year of academic achievement and character building for the students, teachers, and families of Acacia Academy.

Acacia Academy is a classical and Christian school and is currently enrolling students in grades kindergarten through eight.
