A Kokomo Schools kindergartner was among 13 students in the state to receive $529 toward college expenses through a CollegeChoice 529 Savings Plan.
Indiana’s Cash for College contest rewards K-12 students for planning how they will pay for an education beyond college. Morgan Kakestraw from Wallace School of Integrated Arts was selected as one of the contest winners.
Learn More Indiana, an outreach initiative led by the Indiana Commission for Higher Education, awards one student from each grade level a CollegeChoice 529 Savings Plan. Students participated in the contest this spring by describing how they plan to pay for their future, through an age-appropriate activity.
“We are pleased that so many students entered this contest and expressed their plans to pay for college success with excitement and creativity,” said Commissioner for Higher Education Teresa Lubbers, in a statement.
Learn More Indiana is a partnership of state and local organizations working to help students of all ages succeed in school, complete college and connect to careers. Visit www.LearnMoreIndiana.org for more information.
