This year’s dinner theater, “Hex Marks the Spot,” is written by Scott Haan, an Indiana playwright. The play is about a normal high school girl, Jean Emery (Mackenzie Thibault), whose world gets turned upside down when she receives a surprising letter in the mail from her eccentric Aunt Bernice (Tara Skelton). The letter claims that Jean has magical powers and the ability to grant wishes. Jean dismisses the letter as a joke, until her rival, Heather (Kelsey Priday), gets possession of the letter and uses it to blackmail her. Could this letter be true? Come and see why Tom (Grant Ebert), Rich (Ross Huston), Amber (Kelsey Priday), Stephanie (Alexandria Stark), Zack (Matt Johns), Mike (Levi Parks), Betty (Jenna Powell), Dexter (Matt Todd), Karma (Jillian LaDow), and Karma parents (Darrian LaDow and Ryan Hartman) warn you to be careful what you wish for!
“Hex Marks the Spot” is also this year’s conference show and proceeds from the dinner theater will help defray the costs of students attending their regional and state conferences. This year’s regional conference performance is at 9 a.m. Saturday at Purdue University’s Hansen Theater. Please attend and support the performing arts in our school.
