On Point sandwich shop

— They say it's a woman's prerogative to change her mind. This reviewer is living proof. I can't walk out of the house in the morning without trying on three different outfits and at least five pairs of shoes.
Likewise, when I'm headed out for a bite to eat, all I want is options.
Sycamore Marketplace's sandwich shop, On Point, offers up unique sandwiches, low prices and -- best of all --lots of choices.
Walk into the open-market style restaurant and coffee shop at 115 E. Sycamore St. (MAP) and you're greeted by a huge board bursting with different types of sandwiches and salads.
You'd think it was a life decision:
Do I go to college or the military?
Move to Indiana or California?
Eat On Point's Seiberling or the Sycamore Stump sandwich?
These are not your normal hoagie or grinder. All of On Point's grilled sandwiches, called paninis, are loaded with fresh veggies and meats and topped with specialty mayonnaises.
The paninis feature unique and interesting combinations of ingredients that add up to a gourmet sandwich feel on a budget sandwich price.
The only problem, then, becomes which panini to choose.
My favorite might be the Old Ben: roast beef piled high on Italian bread or marbled rye, then topped with Swiss cheese, mushrooms, red onions and horseradish mayonnaise.
Or, maybe it's the Red Bird: diced chicken topped with blue cheese dressing and bacon.
Or, the Sipe: turkey with colby cheese, tomatoes and jalapeno chardonnay mayonnaise
Or, the Kresge... or, the Victory... or...
There's so many options, you may never go hungry again and the prices leave you with a full belly and a full wallet.
The average price for a panini hovers around $4.80, just about what you'd pay at your local fast-food joint.
Wander downtown on a Thursday or a Friday evening and listen to live music at Vincenzo's, the coffee shop at the back of Sycamore Marketplace.
That's where you can pick up a gourmet soda, smoothie or piping hot cup of cappuccino.
It's even got wireless Internet, so you can chow down and download at the same time.
Sit back and relax on one of Vincenzo's plush couches, pick up something to read from their newsstand or get into a game of chess on one of their boards -- whatever you're in the mood for, the Sycamore Marketplace has it all.
