You deserve the blessings of God because God wants to bless you.
God desires to bless you because you are created in the image of God.
“God spoke: ‘Let us make human beings in our image, make them reflecting our nature So they can be responsible for the fish in the sea, the birds in the air, the cattle, And, yes, Earth itself, and every animal that moves on the face of Earth.” God created human beings; he created them godlike, Reflecting God’s nature. He created them male and female. God blessed them: “Prosper! Reproduce! Fill Earth! Take charge! Be responsible for fish in the sea and birds in the air, for every living thing that moves on the face of Earth.’” (Genesis 1:26-28 The Message)
God’s favor is for you. God’s favor will help you move from where you are towards the future that God has for you. Favor will get you in the right place at the right time and position you in the presence of people that will help direct you towards what God has for you.
Favor implies receiving kindness and being lavished with generosity and benefits going far beyond what we deserve. Favor means being treated much better than we should be. God’s favor will cause our mistakes, shortcomings and challenges to become blessings in disguise! Receiving the favor of God demands that we strive to be obedient to God.
Each and every day look in your mirror and despite what is going on in your life claim the favor of God. Say with confidence and boldness, “God I know that on my own I am not worthy of your favor but your love for me makes me worthy. God your favor empowers me to be great!” Striving to live in God’s will and way assures you that God’s favor is upon you.
When God created you, God did a great thing! “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” (Philippians 1:6)
The Psalmist overwhelmed by the favor of God shown towards him asks God: “What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.” (Psalm 8:4-5)
God’s favor demands your faith. Embrace God’s favor “calling those things which be not as though they were.” (Romans 4:17) Believe that you are worthy of God’s favor. If someone says “I am always going to get the short end of the stick” guess what they just might. “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he.” (Proverbs 23:7) Speak in the positive and reap the benefits!
You need God’s favor in all walks of your life. In order to be successful, effective, overcome rough times, endure hardships, experience great relationships and situations “thirst” for God’s favor. Speak God’s favor on your life and in the life of others!
Daily look in your mirror and declare “God thank you because your favor is on me!”
