Everything is being updated to make it more modern. The Harmesons are replacing their kitchen appliances. Matt pointed to the wood paneling on the dishwasher and said the refrigerator matched it. It’s time for something new, he said.
The designers will even be knocking out some walls to create a more open floor plan in the home.
The Harmesons will fund the major construction, but supplies and appliances will be purchased at wholesale prices. The paint and wallpaper for the project was donated, and the designers donate their time, Obermeyer said.
Daphnie said it’s really a dream come true for her family.
“Had we done this on our own, we never would have been able to afford it, not all at once,” she said. “And I went to the show home every year for 20 years. I just love it.”
