1) A Yuletide Celebration
Celebrate the Christmas season with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. Saturday and Sunday the group and many others will perform as part of Duke Energy's Yuletide Celebration.
Five-time Grammy Award-winner and Indiana favorite Sandi Patty returns to take the stage with Jack Everly, the ISO and a cast of Broadway's best singers and dancers.
Joining Sandi and Jack will be The von Trapp Family Singers, the great-grandchildren of Captain von Trapp, performing a Sound of Music medley and other classic holiday tunes.
Other highlights include a Holiday Motown Medley, 'Twas the Night Before Christmas and of course, the Tap Dancing Santas.
Tickets range in price from $40 to $71 for adults and $25 to $55 for children.There are performances at 2 and 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 and 6 p.m. Sunday.
2) Bull Riding
Check out the Bull Riding Series sponsored by the Grant County Fair Board and Gipson Bucking Bulls. Cowboys compete for top prize money from 7:30 to 9:30 tonight. Concessions are available. Event is in the heated Meijer Pavilion. Cost is $8 for ages 13 and older, $5 for ages 6 to 12, and free for those 5 and under. For additional information contact Teresa at 765-651-2413.
3) "Rocky Horror" holiday show
See the Rocky Horror CAN CAN Holiday Show at the Irving Theater, 5505 E. Washington St., Indianapolis on Saturday night. Doors open at 11 p.m. Show starts at midnight.
Bring can goods or health care products valuing about the cost of admission ($6), and you will get in for free. Items will be donated to an Irvington food pantry, so everyone will have a happier holiday.
