This cold weather have you feeling down? Stave off the winter blues with a little blues music. See B.L. Doors to the Phi Delta Kappa house open at 7 p.m. The first band takes the stage at 8 p.m. General admission tickets are $10 the day of the show.
2) Eat your way into the new year

Think you can scarf down 14 glazed doughnuts before anyone else? Enter the contest for a chance to win $100. Or just wait for the midnight celebration where there will be a ball drop and fireworks to ring in 2014.
3) Youth overnight party

There will be food, basketball and dodgeball tourneys, an illusionist, laser tag and more. The party starts at 9 p.m. New Year's Eve at Northwestern High School's fieldhouse and auditorium. It doesn't end until 7 a.m. the following day. Tickets are $10 in advance or $20 at the door.
