Travolta embarrassed by name gaffe

Kokomo Tribune

---- — The world took the rare opportunity to laugh at John Travolta for something this past Sunday, when the man whose sole job it is to read words written by others accidentally introduced “Idina Menzel” as “Adele Dazeem.”

After speaking aloud the name of an alien warrior that was only to be revealed to those with an OT level of VIII or higher, in a room of IIIs at best, Travolta was, probably for the first time ever, embarrassed—a humiliation that was only compounded by so many others creating their own Travoltafied names.

But like a few silly accusations of groping, Travolta is taking it all in stride: He released a statement through his publicist acknowledging the error, as well as the way it’s clung to his soul like an unwanted emotion or past trauma he must strive to be clear of:

"I've been beating myself up all day. Then I thought…what would Idina Menzel say, She'd say, 'Let it go, let it go!' Idina is incredibly talented and I am so happy Frozen took home two Oscars Sunday night!"
