1) Watch the races
Kokomo Speedway opens this weekend, so have a beer and watch the races or catch up with old friends in the stands during the Kokomo Grand Prix tonight and Saturday.
General admission tickets are $20 and pit passes cost $35.
2) A sacred show
Prepare yourself for Easter as the Lyric Opera Theatre of Indiana comes to Kokomo for for a sacred show.
The group will present "Easter: A Celebration of Sacred Music" at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at First Christian Church. There is no cost to attend the show, but freewill offerings will be accepted.
3) Rock out
See Marion-based band Rattleuce at Miller's Tavern Saturday night.
Rattleuce describes its sound as a colorful collage of their influences melded together and poured into the air through the use of impecibally timed beats, saucy slap-happy bass and tasty guitar licks, peppered with odd meters and synthesised keyboard and percussion.
It is a funk, blues and improvisational rock band.
The group performs from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m., and the cover is $2.
