Stray Cat, Lee Rocker and Band performs a free show Saturday night at Foster Park, so don't miss it.
The show goes from 7 to 10:30 p.m. and features special guests Tony Funk and the Homewreckers.
Lee Rocker made his mark singing, playing, standing on, spinning and rocking his giant upright bass in the legendary music group The Stray Cats. Grammy-nominated, The Stray Cats have sold nearly 10 million albums and garnered an astounding 23 gold and platinum certified records worldwide. Founded by Rocker, Brian Setzer, and Slim Jim Phantom, The Stray Cats remain a radio staple, were music video pioneers at the infancy of MTV, and repeatedly brought rockabilly music to the top of the charts.
2) Good, clean comedy
Indianapolis-based comedian Troy Davis performs all weekend at Laugh House Kokomo, 113 E. Sycamore St. There are performances at 7 and 9:30 p.m. today and Saturday. Tickets start at $10, and the show is open to anyone 18 and older.
Troy’s comedy is clean and he is so likable onstage that he wins his audience over instantly with his hilarious outlook on everyday situations. Troy is truly original, hysterical and very real. It doesn’t matter if the crowd is twenty or seventy, funny is funny.
3) Pick up a new craft
Learn about basket weaving and wood carving at the Eastern Woodland Carving Show at Converse Gym Saturday and Sunday.
There will be demonstrations, baked goods and free basket weaving.
The show goes from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
