1) A family affair
Bring the family and get swept up with Disney’s high-flying "Mary Poppins," live on stage for the first time at Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre in Indianapolis. Based on one of the most popular Disney films of all time, this musical is nothing short of supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!
The jack-of-all trades, Bert, introduces us to England in 1910 and the troubled Banks family. Young Jane and Michael have sent many a nanny packing before Mary Poppins arrives on their doorstep. Using a combination of magic and common sense, she must teach the family how to value each other again.
Mary Poppins is on stage for 54 performances through June 29 in the intimate space of Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre. Tickets range from $38.50 to $63.50 and include Chef Odell Ward’s family-friendly dinner buffet, prepared in-house for each performance, and select beverages.
Plus, as Beef & Boards’ 2014 Family Show, Mary Poppins tickets are discounted $10 for children ages 3 to 15.

2) Rock, paper or scissors?
The Rock Paper Scissors Indy City Championship will be Saturday at White Rabbit Cabaret in Fountain Square. Thirty-two teams will go head-to-head in a knock down, drag out tournament of arbitrary sport Rock Paper Scissors. The winner will take home the grand prize of $500 and bragging rights as the Indy RPS Champion.
Spectators are encouraged to attend. Admission is free. Spectators will also be able to participate in side challenges for Rock Paper Scissors throughout the evening for cash and prizes. White Rabbit Cabaret is located at 1116 Prospect St., Indianapolis.
Doors open at 6 p.m. Must be 21 years old or older to enter.
